Hellen, eighteen years old brazilian girl. I like corn flakes. I long for the unknown, and sometimes, when it’s late at night, the idea of what I have yet to see lingers across my mind. I drink coffee before writing. My hands shake violently when I’m nervous. I have a plush penguin that goes by Jr., this way I name him after a different celebrity every two weeks or so. Lilies are my favorite flowers. Ever since I was little, I dreamed of being a successful artist, whether a dancer or a musician, because that would mean I have the capacity of translating my feelings into something comprehensible, and though they might not always be understood, they would certainly be appreciated. I’m not talented for either the former or the latter, yet I find myself in peace when communicating with written words, so I settled for being a writer instead, not a particularly good one, as you might as well have noticed. Sarcasm is my weapon of choice, whereas books are my shield, and armed with both of them, I learned to tell right from wrong and am ready to face the world, knowing that I will lose some battles, but hoping I can win the war.
